PSL, where are you from?

I was born in Port au Prince Haiti 1992, Spent 2 years in an orphanage with my older sister. Things were rough at the time for my biological parents so they had to let me and my older sister go.I was a newborn and she was 1 and a half at the time

When did you arrive in Canada?

In 1994 a white family in New-Brunswick Canada found us and adopted us. They already had 1 boy and 1 girl of their own so that made us a family of 4. During that same year a lot of events were happening in my Haiti due to the government being over thrown so a few families in New Brunswick adopted haitian kids all around that time.

When did you find out you wanted to pursue music as a career?

At a very young age around 6 to 7 years old, As soon as I could understand, listen to words and really take a look at life coming from what I have seen and felt from birth. The reason why I chose music as a pass time at such a young age is because my mother would always play the piano to me. Just hearing the different tones and chords gave me the feeling that everything is good and there is always a brighter side. Listening to piano intrigued me to the point where I wanted to be able to create that feeling for myself at any given moment.

Who was your Favorite rapper growing up?

My biggest influence and motivation to this day is still 50 cent & Drake. I still remember in Grade 6 when I was going through tough times one of my friends, still to this day, showed up to me saying, “I heard you’re going through tough times at home man listen to this if you ever feel like changing your mood” He gave me The marshall Mathers LP and 50 cent Power of the dollar, said i think you will like more 50 cent but you should listen to both.

What are your goals at the moment for Rightway Records & and yourself?

I want to inspire, not change …. inspire. Rightway Records is a Label that promotes lifestyle & music. Whatever you inspire to be in life, bits and pieces of the music should inspire you to go and be that. Life is not about where you are. It’s what you do about it.
